Legalization Of Pot In Some States

Marijuana, code name “pot” or “weed” is currently one of the most economically important plant in the world with a rising demand and increased harvest in weed farms. This plant has finally been given the recognition it deserves in a few states.

The inevitable legalization which has been teased over for the last couple of years has finally come to pass. This is due to the growing need as more and more people are being inducted willfully into the love for smoking marijuana, and since the smoking of marijuana doesn’t necessarily translate into an impending crime then this means we can have a marijuana legal community that is free from as well.

This may be arguable as some people would stress on the possibility that marijuana smokers lose cognitive abilities and act rashly on impulse when “high.” This is the reasons why it was formerly a crime but in recent times the lax in character, induced by the euphoric effect of weed has greatly reduced and there are medical and medicinal reasons for the use of weed.

Recreational smoking of marijuana gives smokers the right and freedom to openly smoke without legal consequences and this has greatly changed the perception of the plant by other non-smokers, in fact it can be referred to as a trend that has come to stay. A few weed legal states include Alaska, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, California, Massachusetts, Arkansas, Nevada, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana, Hawaii, Florida, Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, Vermont, North Dakota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and New Mexico.

The legalization was due to numerous advocacies and a large vote count. This may yet be the beginning of a new form of national income and sustainable economic development as taxes on marijuana have churned out large sums for the states. There are speculations that more states would be weed-legal in time to come.
